Hi people can somebody help me? Was wondering what is a fair price to pay for alterations on an existing job. The scaff company just tell me it's minimum half a day unless the men are already on site. I have no problem paying this just wondering what is the average rate so that I know I am not getting overcharged. Thanks in advance

sounds fair enough to me Burt , we charge minimum 4 hours , you got to remember its costing the firm money to send men there when they should be else where
I always charge a minimum of 4 hours unless it's literally 5 minutes work - moving one tube or something, but even then I'll still charge a minimum of 2 hours.
Anything that's involves working after 1pm I'll claim for a minimum of 8 hours.

If we were at a job and had to go to another for alterations we doubled the lads hourly wage from leaving the job and getting back to it.Nothing quite annoying messes your all day up really for everyone
