These days more and more clients request designs and we need to account for the fees when tendering.

I have noticed many designers have very different pricing policies. For example for a temporary roof over a two storey house roughly 8m high and a 5m x 8m plan diameter we were quoted from £700 to £1200 from different companies.

Without giving away your company secrets is there a certain price we can expect for certain types of scaffolds?

I have had a word with one design company that said they charge £45 an hour but have a minimum fee of £100.

Its all a bit confusing for me.

i second that , we usually pay a fixed fee of approx 250.00 per drawing on the smaller stuff or on bulk , but have paid 700-1000 for temp roof drawings but work on the base there is more man hours in that

When we have done temp roofs in the past the company we have hired it off provide us with a design, then all we need to get is the drawing for the independent(s).
