Fall from height

Hi

It is always terrible when somebody goes to work and does not come home to his family and friends.

Take care out there you guys.

A bit more info on the incident.

It is reported that an employee of EDF Energy died last Friday evening following a fall from height accident at its Heysham 1 reactor site

Chris Eng:sad:

Latest feedback reckon he leaned over a guardrail to turn a valve, and fell over.

Guy was working alone.

Turning blind eye.

Seems that no one should work alone until someone who needs a job done says do it. People glad to be in work reluctantly get on with it.

My sympathies to his family.

In this day and age it just makes me wonder why the hell people do ridiculous things...(not saying this guy was btw), this weekend over the back of where I live there were some painters working on the college (backs onto my back garden), on the way down to the shed I looked over and there was a painter on a mobile aluminium tower at least 6m high, stood on the top handrails to reach the gutters....
I was going to take a pic, just in case..
Later on the same day another painter was on a fairly high step ladder, working off a porch type canpoy over a doorway.....

Makes you wonder sometimes......
