in the early 90,s i worked 4 SGB , our job was to construct a scaffold between 2 buildings @ lewis prison. on one side there is a gable end aprox 60ft wide, on opposite side a flank wall aprox 50ft wide ,distance between walls apro 35ft. the gable end was collapsing , so this required screwjacks on made to mesure 35ft transoms set @ 24 inches apart.a block of 4 standards 18 inches square ,these standards wer then placed 4ft apart in all directions. everything double checked , and 3 boards thick to every lift. it was gonna hold 62 tonne of masonary . heavy duty or what ? has anyone else had jobs like this

I have built a job which had to support a whole fractionator tower. Ladder beams for standards every 18 inches square , a sh1t load of bracing and 3ft rsj's at the top to support it.
Also the support towers for the bridge on victoria tower's temp roof had an unbelievable amount of gear thrown into it.
