The company will proved all the ppe you will need.

All you want is 2 sets of work gear ie tracky bottoms t-shirts and jumper if you normal work in one bit cheer to sit about in on a night and your wash and shaving kit.
You will get all bedding / towels on the ring there is also a place to get your washing done up put it in the bag and they will wash it. Remember you can only take 2 bags ie one with working gear and spanners etc and one for you clothes.

Make sure you pack warm clothing/thick socks ect, take a book with you although they'll have tele/computer for your use of an evening, good luck.

who you get on with and how long have you bin tryin? iv bin tryin for 3 months and still no joy

They should fully kit you out... might wanna invest in some decent boots though, heard the ones you get are shiite.

HATE wearing crap boots, lol.

go with what you are given as you are employed you should go with what you are issued with anything other and you will be outwith company pp[e procedures if you do breack your ankle heaven forbid.

theres a hand cream called neutragena was forumlated by norweign fishermen take some advise and get a tube does for cracked hands,chapped lips and sore gouches

Got to be honest, never found the need for anything like that but did get a nasty bout of ring sting when working close to the flare stack during a particular hot spell and also nothing on the menu but curries. My first trip I went with big thick wool jumpers and padded boiler suits thinking it would be all Scott of the artic stuff, imagine my surprise when it was hotter than Magaluf and I had to borrow an ordinary suit from a welder. :embarrest:

yep all PPE is supplied, but take ( in winter ) some decent socks and some base layer long johns/long sleeve top. North Fave etc... it gets fukin cold...

If your trip comes off, the company will supply all PPE which should include boots, as many installations are "producing" they will have specific requirements for PPE, some Platforms won't allow steel toe cap boots as this can generate sparks but, if you’re lucky to get the call to go Offshore, just ask what will be supplied and the HR will let you know what you'll be receiving, you may also need to verify with the company if you can take tools with you as some helicopter operators won't allow tools to be carried offshore, just something to think ask when the time comes.

Goz:bigsmile::bigsmile::bigsmile:
