Hi All

Just saw this in safety news, and Northern Echo.

Just a reminder for you all to take care and not to get complacent.

I sit in a nice office, not sure how you guys work up at some of the heights you do. TAKE CARE.

A SCAFFOLDER who fell from the third floor of an 18th century building remains in a serious condition.

The Great North Air Ambulance were called to Firby Hall, near Bedale, North Yorkshire, at around 3pm on Tuesday afternoon following a report of a man with a serious spinal injury.

A spokeswoman for the air ambulance said: "He was very poorly when we arrived and the doctors acted immediately.

"Fortunately some of his colleagues had tended to him but we had to use specialist equipment to get him out due to the state of the building.

"He was airlifted to hospital where his condition is still described as serious."

Doctors at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough are running spinal tests on the 32-year-old who was involved in the major renovation of the building.

The Health and Safety Executive will be looking in to the matter. A spokeswoman said: "We are aware of the incident and will be conducting an investigation into how this happened."
