Free standing scaffolds , timber frame scaffolds are classed as design scaffolds.

Paddy, the world has gone mad. Our sites were exactly like that not that long ago but with the advent of various new legislation we are no longer able to build the scaffold in advance of the kit so we can install our ties regardless of tube and fit or system. In the bygone days of yore time was money and since the joiners were getting faster and faster at flinging up these kits we were under more and more pressure, trying all sorts like buttressing and kentledge but all to no avail. Now the joiners just have to wait, we are allowed to build no more than a lift at a time with the result being miserable joiners, miserable scaffs and lower profits as the whole process takes an horrendous amount of time. Thank goodness they couldn't spell hooping irn up my way.;)

Built progressively as above with ties installed they then fall back to basic jobs.

Must have been a right jobsworth to give you a prohibition instead of a warning:wondering:
