Description

Previous experience required, must be registered with Construction Industry Records Scheme and hold current CISRS Scaffolders Card. Target work may be available. Confined space certificate is preferred. Own transport essential (mileage rate paid). Duties include erecting and dismantling scaffolding. Premium rates of pay for overtime.

Yup, defo immortal mate. i worked for them for a couple of months after finishing my chemo. the chemo gave me lung disease and they sent me to work in a disused paper mill filled with damp and dust and expected me to be fine. ended up having to have the rest of the week off due to this and then was told i was too unreliable. they knew i had this but still sent me there. worker friendly or wot?? lol
 
Looks like shutting the door once the horse has bolted. The reason I looked at this is because of the confined space involved I became a little suspicious. It may be a good firm when you are well, but they really should be taking care sending lads in where there is a possible health hazard. Hope you've recovered.
 
Recovered from the cancer but can no longer do physical side of scaffolding. So looking to get into the office side, but need info and advice how to go about it. any advice is well appreciated
 
What about doing your inspection ticket or supervisor's card? that would help you.

Just been on Simians site looking at the courses for scaffold inspection but couldn't see any prices. any clues??
 
I am doing mine in warrington mate, and the cost is 415. hope this helps.
 
this job would soot me im a part 1 scaffolder with my confined spaces and live in lochgelly but have lived in glenrothes all my life i will give u a fne on monday 16.1.12 hope ur still looking m8 cheerz
