(ThyssenKrupp Palmers Ltd - Welcome)Mission and Purpose of Role: To provide comprehensive QHSE support, coordination and advisory service throughout all aspects of operations within their designated region*, responsible for ensuring that all safety legislation is adhered to and policies and practices are adopted. Help to plan, implement, monitor and review the protective and preventative measures that companies are required or choose to follow. Work to minimize, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries and to support and deliver continuous improvement of the QHSE Management System.
* Midlands regional base to be Aldridge but also covering North East on a 4 days per month basis. The geographical spread of the region will require periods of time working away from the branch office and will likely include extensive travel within the UK.
Key Objectives of the Role: Liaising with QHSE Manager to prepare QHSE strategies and developing internal policies; Carry out and support others to undertake risk assessments and consider control measures required for the reduction of risk; Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards; Planning practical and effective methods, both preventative and remedial, of promoting health and safety and safe working practices; To ensure, by regular inspections and audits, that systems at work are in adherence with the requirements laid down in Company Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions as well as Statutory and Advisory documents appertaining to safety and the environment; Keeping records of such inspections and audits and producing reports that recommend and put forward opportunities for improvements; Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers; Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of an effective QHSE system and to devise and develop operating procedures and safe systems of work.

Job Level Overview and Accountabilities:
Process- Provides support to the QHSE Manager on development and co-ordination of QHSE function; review of QHSE performance on continuous basis; liaison with client on QHSE matters; develop and deliver QHSE training including where required induction etc. and accident and incident investigation.
Financial- To be agreed with QHSE Manager.
People- To provide necessary in-Company training, tool box talks and coaching on any matters appertaining to QHSE as may be designated by the QHSE Manager;
Knowledge and Applied Skills: Skills A minimum of 5 years experience within the construction industry; Experience within a similar role; Scaffolding and access experience advantageous.
Qualifications Relevant H&S qualifications and experience; NEBOSH General Certificate or higher.
