Hello, im a part one scaffolder looking for work. Im situated in the north east of england but i have my own transport so traveling isnt an issuse. I have worked in London, Oxford and over most parts of the North East. I payed for myself to go through my part one and part two courses and im having trouble now finding more work to finish of my folder. If there is anyone looking for part one scaffolders i would greatly appreciate the chance to work so i can complete my folder.

good luck gettin a start mike , its amazin to me to hear of the portfoilio that makes up the svq/nvq being spoken of like its not just given to someone , this is another aspect of the scaffold industry thats not right , in scotland people dont complete this

JB, people in Scotland definitely have to fill in the portfolio as well, seem to spend half my life signing and initialing.:(
 
seeing as lots or maybe most scaffs in scotland especially in glasgow and the surrounding areas use a system especially all these young scaffs , it amazes me how portfolio's can be completed , i recently worked with a part 2 who was 21 , who had been on the tools for 3 years working with systems , i wonder who did his portfolio
 
As far as I know you don't have to complete all the structures just what you would normally do then they are meant to give you something you don't normally build on your final assessment.
