Outage/ Shutdown Planner

Cape Industrial Services is a Leader in the provision of industrial services to the Nuclear and Power Generation industries in the UK.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Access & Insulation Planner to support the EDF Power Generation contract based atHartlepool.
Reporting to the Site Manager and working in close collaboration with Cape Planning Manager, the successful individual will be responsible for ensuring that all contract activities undertaken on site, inclusive of all outage, project and emergent work are planned, scheduled, and monitored in accordance with both Capeand Client requirements. In the main, this will be done through production of project plans utilising Primavera P6.
The position provides essential interface between Cape and Clients where planning of outage, project and emergent work issues are concerned and therefore regular attendance at planning meetings with clients,Cape & contract partners will be required in order to facilitate an integrated approach to the planning process and highlighting, and communicating all potential issues/risks to relevant parties.
Regular reviews of Station programmes are a key feature of the role, and will be undertaken with Capesite & region teams to cover details regarding durations, manpower and materials management. Where relevant implementation of recovery plans, will be necessary.
It is a prerequisite that you possess a Primavera P6 qualification, and ideally have experience in utilising this planning tool. You will be able to demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in planning and project management and also be risk averse in your methods. Further, you will be resilient and able to cope well under pressure as well as being able to communicate your views effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
Power Generation experience is preferred, However we would also welcome your application if you have experience within wider Engineering Construction, or general construction or civil engineering related planning.
It is a necessity of the role that you are also capable of gaining security clearance for working on nuclear installations.
