NASC Member wins Specialist Awards 2012




The NASC are pleased to announce that Chris Sedgeman Scaffolding Ltd, a full contracting member from the South West region of the NASC have recently won the Construction News Specialist Awards (Scaffolding & Access catergory). This award reaffirms the quality and excellence that can be expected from regulated scaffolding firms.

Congrats to Chris but the NASC are up to their tricks again. They love to insist that you can only get a good, safe and well erected scaffold from one of their members.
Obviously that is total crap. They should be stopped from spouting this bollox. It's verging on being libellous. Trying to say that only the people that contribute to their coffers are capable is both misleading and plain wrong.

I have nothing against anyone that wants to become a member of the NASC but personally I think its just another branch of the freemasons

The NASC is the 'Management' part of the Scaffolding world...
If they was to work better and closer with the SCCR - the workers part of the Scaffolding world, then this trade would be better.

Us Scaffolders dont want to work unsafely... we want to conform and we mostly embrace change - but theres a serious lack of communication between the 'office' and the 'shop floor' which if rectified would make life easier for both and make earning money easier for both too.


The office get the work sure, but the workers do the work.
If they are pulling in different directions then there always will be trouble.

Imo, anyway.
