hey guys, im an aussy planning to head over your way next year for a bit of work have 5+ years exp im 28 yrs old typical lad hard working have good reffs anyone ramping up looking for scaffys give me a reply have advanced ticet in oz am keen to get my u.k tickets on arrival. cheers....

Welcome to the forum Steve, Its all changed over here recently,not sure Oz tickets will get you a start,and its expensive to do the courses here. Others on the forum will give you better advice mate. Come with a 7.5 ton driving license that may help. Good luck bud.

Hi mate,
I'm not sure your oz tickets will get you anywhere in the uk,
you need CISRS tickets in the uk.
If you don't have these, you will find it very very hard to get a start on good money.
They will cost you in the region of £1200 each,
you can do a course as soon as you get here,
but then you MUST complete a NVQ(portfolio) before your ticket is issued

Why not stay in Australia for the next few years?
There is a massive amount of FIFO work planned for both Queensland and W.A.

Which means flying into a remote area from a main city. Working on a project and staying in a camp for a tour of say 4. 5 or 6 weeks then flying out for R&R.
