Hi,

Posted a similar role here yesterday, the manager has given us another requirement this morning...

Require 4x Scaffolders, Labour only. WEMBLEY PARK.

This contract is guarenteed 2 months work, prob rising to end of October/ early November in all likelihood. Work ongoing after that available if this goes to plan.

As its very quick (tomorrow or Friday latest) he's willing to pay extra so if anyone is free please let me know and what rate and we'll go from there.

Work is in Wembley Park area, 5 minutes walk from the tube station.
 
would you pay 19 -20 per hour if traveling from lpool,digs and travel in with that rate????

Find it very strange only 2days ago you were offering £13 per hour, now your willing to pay more. Just goes to show how much there ripping the lads off. Chancers i would say.
 
Are you for real?! What makes you think the agency determines the price to be paid?!?!?! If you understood how we as an agency work, you wouldn't make such comments.

Okay lads, got the green light on the rate.

£19:50 an hour. No digs included though..

This is to start Monday and ongoing for 2/3 months and if everything is okay, we can move you onto another project local. Same rate.

In regards to weekend work, Saturdays are okay to work but not Sundays.

8 hours a day, working 8am to 4pm.

Ideally looking for 3/4 lads that know each other but would look at individuals of course..

Any takers?!

Have worked in this game for a long time now from trainee to field supervisor and estimator so have a very good knolage of rates of pay and what it cost to cover the overheads of a company so your answer to oldscaff / daftscaff is out of order !
Your take offs have to cover everything your company needs to run at a profit and cover you salary correct ?
Therefore your probably charging around the £28-£34 hourly rate to the company ?
But where only willing to pay a poor rate to the lads I think after you got no takers you have had to take a hit on the company slice ?
Good luck but don't think because this is a scaffolders forum we are thick !!!!!
 
Okay, well thanks (sort of) for your email.

To start with, we charge 10%. So whatever the Client agrees to pay the operative, we add on 10%. So at £19:50, we're charging £21:45.

At £15, only £16:50... You get the picture.

The price is 100% determined by the end client, we only add on ours at the end for finding the guys and running the payroll, paying you guys weekly but only billing the client every 6 weeks, etc..

I'm a bit surprised all these people sitting on internet forums during the middle of the day are in work. Or out of work but won't budge for more money? I don't know..

We've got guys out working on a contract basis at the moment earning £14 an hour, some earning £21. It's not determined by me.

Liam thank for your reply and it will give many the chance to see what agencys are making of the clients.
As for people playing the key board worrier game there is plenty but most of the lads on here where in the game before the country went down the agency road.

As for sitting in my office it's about 48+ outside and I have many reports etc to do this time of the day so this gives me a little break while I smoke my tab in the office LOL
