HI GUY I'M NEW TO THIS SITE I WAS WANTING TO KNOW YOUR THOUGHT ON THIS MATTER

I have been offered a job working out in Saudi as a scaffold instructor .

Minimum start salary 30k so ask for more
also check if they pay annual bonus as well as end of service benefits.
housing - car -insurance standard

If they want you on Shutdown work you might lose out if your on salary with hours on site. Negotiate another bonus for site work

villa could be a flat.

you need medical insurance.

it's tax free but you must stay out of uk for a uk tax year. SO CHECK THIS OUT.

YOU NEED A SITE RATE FOR HOURS WORKED WHICH COULD 10 OR MORE.

AND A RATE FOR TRAINING CENTRE COULD BE 8 A DAY OR MORE.
 
I no a mate in Qatar doing the same he's on 2k a week even when he's teaching them how to turn a spanner, he says most of them are utter dogs ***** but u get the odd few decent ones! He gets 2k a week on his 2 weeks off aswell! He sent me the add you've applied for but I'm only part 2 which is no good.
 
It's a different country but its for the same firm, I've seen the job ad! How's it different conditions? There both ******* red hot both are petrochemical?

Alright mate i'm just back from KSA. Not a country for everyone but stick to other westerners and you'll be fine. Not much to do their depends which side you'll be on, if your near dammam then Bahrain just a short car journey, thats where you'll have to go every 30days for your visa!! make sure you go out of KSA at least once in a month or you could have major problems when you get to Riyadh airport to fly home.
Its not as bad their as you might think and you'll be able too save a good few quid mate!!!

To wizzing how do you know what company its for there a few companys out there as far as i know, so could be for any what company do you think it is
 
Couldn't say bud as i was working on a different kind of job, but money should be more in KSA than other places such as Qatar and Dubai.
The lads i worked with out their got 15% more for being in KSA as the standard of living is not as good as other places (you can't drink and theirs feck all to do). But i know money is not as good as it used to be over their as more scaffs are willing to go their now and companies know this.

rite!! first off!! you want a private jet(in black) with naked ladys onboard!!,when your working on site tell them you need a rite hand man with you at all times and that it has to b an albeino midget!!,your villa shall need to av a gym,swimming pool,sauna,nite club with pole danceing,ten pin bowling and a mc donalds!!!! rite wages!! tel um you only work for cash and you wana be paid on a daily basis!! i would say demand........ 500nicker per day! that shoud cover your prostitute bill! rite motor!.. your company needs to be a bently!!! old or new it doesnt matter just as long as its in army green!! and to finalise the deal tell um you only work when its raining kuz ur british!!!!!! if you follow my advice my fello brother u should av a cracking chance of getn the job!!!! if not they aint worth working for!!!!!! good luck...and god save the queen!!!

I was wanting to know what sort of money i should ask for or accept ?
A... as just an instructor.
B... as an instructor / site supervisor.
As i have never been to Saudi i don't know the sort of money you should be getting for any help would be of great help lads.

please guys no stupid comments eh i'm just looking a bit advice as i said never been there and neither has anyone i know grateful for any help.

Welcome, first off mate you will never teach a Saudi how to scaffold saudis do not work for the most part, Pakistani yes. the package is what you would expect and yes you leave every 30 days for visa purposes and depending on where you are working you will either drive to bahrain if your near dammam or Khobar or fly to dubai/bahrain with a quick turn around, be sure that the villa is on a western compound as you dont want to be stuck in a stand alone surrounded by other arabs. I see someone said basic 30k that is BS this is the problem with guys traveling out to the Mid East they get paid peanuts wanting some experience and blow it for every one else. your starting package should be minimum 65k, you want at least 1200/1300 in you pocket week in week out and anything over that is a bonus, its not like it used to be out there as some guys are willing to go out there for 600 quid a week and that is a fact, ive been in the mid east 6yrs and started out there with Cape on 1200 a week so dont be shy and name your price all they can do is negotiate with you and except it or knock you back, start at 70k its not a bad starting point, trust me i know guys getting 12/13k a month although few and far between these days. best of luck
 
You want £500 a day but you can bet someone will take it for £100 a day, good luck anyway.
 
Minimum 1200 a week plus all expenses based on a 5 day week.. Ask what car they provide as you need a 4x4 a saloon just isnt suitable.

Qatar scaff is right the Saudis wont do menial labouring tasks like scaffolding. The only place I have worked where this happens is Oman where they have a programme called Omanisation where companies must employ a certain number of locals. Obviously they do feck all and get paid more than the asians.

I dont think Cape pay as much as that for 5 days now!! Only in Australia where its at least double.

No CAPE wont pay that, but going back a few years they did as it was staying on a camp on site 7 days a week sometimes, i know a guy who got paid peanuts off them in Qatar but he was monkey.
