And then they can say to there clients
look i've got 100 plus scaffs waiting to work for me
and i'ts the same with other trades
100% agree.
Thats EXACTLY what they do
Teesside mate.
They advertise for some made up job that they might be tendering for in a few weeks/months and all they do is bare-face lie to you and tell you that they have work 'next week' on that job.
They take your details and the details of 500 other Scaffolders and then when they do eventually decide to tender for work they can offer the client
x-amount of Advanced Scaffolders,
x-amount of Basic Scaffolders and so on.
And to be fair it REALLY REALLY f.ucking winds me up too!
If you do it to them and say: "Im not looking for work, but just wanted to know what your paying" (
which ive done a few times :embarrest: hypocritical i know, lol), they get pissed off about it, lol.
Me? Id leave me details with them anyway and if they was upfront and told you from the off that they DO NOT have the work yet, but will be tendering for it in 3 months, then id still give me details, but i wouldn't be expecting a job out of it next week... they dont have to lie - not to all of us anyway.
