No you are right St L but its the economic times. Everyone is feeling the pinch apart from the Aussies where they don't care about the cost of living as they have a large disposable income at the moment.

a dont want it , not applying , but this add wants people with experience but wants to pay them below the going rate..

Rob , go pay 1200 quid for your survival , mist etc.. then u go and do this job , top line would be about 1280 , then tax , then whatever it cost for your travel , who will leave the north sea for this ??

Well you would still be in the North sea just on the Dutch side. Still may be worth it as survival costs paid in 1 week plus it would give a newbie the chance to get a few offshore trips under the belt so would help in getting off in the UK sector.

They can say they have worked in the UK sector just like so many have said they have worked in the Dutch sector to get the first trip.

i hope some do and it works for them ... as long as they're with decent people on the rig and are honest , they'd be fine..

M8 you won't even see rain up here, never mind surf, looking forward to winter, the locals reckon it gets down to +38. If you ever make it over get in touch, this country has got a serious lack of decent scaffolders, :)

Mt Isa sure is isolated I remember flying home from Oz once ,and falling asleep for what felt like hours .Then the pilot came on the pa system "Yeah just crossing MT Isa now ".
I thought I was half way to the UK ,we weren't even out fukkin Queensland .
Back to the Holland job its not the best money but it could be a foot in the door ,if the pay is in Euros then you have to think of the exchange rate, mind you is it nearly one for one now?
We know this already don't we ,don't drink the night before, they can breath test you.and I know guys who have been tested there.
