We wonder why we cant compete against the Far East,

Life must be considered disposable and a lot cheaper than over here.

Not sure we had such a low regard for peoples safety/ lives, even hundreds of years ago.

Bamboo is great I have seen plenty when I was in China. Never had a go with it myself but its an art passed down from father to son.
Dont forget steel scaffolding has only been around for 110 years or so. Before it was all timber. Still is in many countries.Use of local natural resources dictates what is plentiful and economical.

Some crackers there,Does anyone remember an Instructer called George Mc Kie,Worked at Bircham Newton he use to Knock a bit of bamboo up to show the trainees what the crack was,remember him being a great instucter :idea:
