Our Project Manager has left me with the unenviable task of getting some info on corrugated tin temporary roofs. He wants a method statement, risk assessment and erection guide putting together. Does anybody have anything I can work from? There's nothing that fits the bill on NASC or HSE that is a straightforward read for our lads. Just trying to eliminate a bit of the guesswork. System temporary roofs are beyond the budget of most of our clients so we have to be a bit more creative but want to try and cover our bottoms on the paperwork front. Cheers.

You need a design, when you see the design you can then work out your erection guide?(scaffs don't need this and your method statement should cover it)and be able to to do your rams accordingly;)

Thanks for the replies people. Like all the suggestions. Yeah we are scaffold contractors.

In that case pretty much the same state as bigfish. Is this the 1st roof uve done ? Generic rams wont do they need to be site/job specific & 90% of the information you require will be supplied within the drwgs & calcs....your project manager should be fully aware of this, if he doesnt then he shouldnt be a pm

We're in Barrow in Furness. Not the first time we've done temp roofs but they were system. Just trying to find a cheaper alternative by being creative with tin sheets but wanting to keep it within the regs. Will have a look at TG9 thanks IDH.

Just ordered the TG9 from NASC. So combined with a design drawing I should be able to wade through it. Thanks for all the input people.
