Contract in Shetland

I find it a wee bit suspicious that an agency has the contract,if so you will not get correct o/t rates another atempt at fecking hard fought for agreements and conditions

Another case for trying to get rid of the blue book rates,time to make a stand.
 
Think this outfit might be just get name together as I know a few lads that have rung them and only been told will get bacteria to them in a few days time no start dates
 
38 hours paid on your week off and 7 x 10 hr shifts all at 18.16 an hour. No overtime rates at all and travel paid from Aberdeen only. Hardly the job of the century is it to be working out there?

Hi new to the forum. A work 2 on 2 off and we were lifting 2700 for the 2 week ya not even gana get that for the 3 weeks that was in floata Orkney isles
 
Yes your right elly 26 on this cheap attempt to get names and try to bargain your way into a multimillion pound contract that's what i can gather this advert form this agent .
Now i no most of the scaffs on here have all work on Blue book petroleum, power station,and offshore contracts so this is what any one who thinks about going up there to work
Must be ready to look at the Terms and conditions it will not be a blue book as we all no but it must be as good s as the rest of the contractors that will be working hand in hand next to you The last big Job up there in 1987 CUI it was 4 weeks on Long weekend but the working time directive has help with the Travelling man .7x10 is all you will get but you must be looking at better rates after the first 40 hours per week you will have to work.
Travelling to and from the Job youll be flying through Bromnfield House at Aberdeen air port
if its a early check in going up there you may need a over night stay and they contracted firms must be paying this
The 7 days off in Question must be look at 1 day up and 1 day down will leave 5 rest days and there will also be days when there is bad flying conditions so if you are stuck up there on crew change day their must be a extra up lift on your 30+hours that they say you will get in your rest time off
If your also travelling up as far as South as you can go it will be very expensive to get to the check in point or Even for the over night stay a lot to think about if you go up there
I suggest that if there is any one who as been up in Float and can you get a copy of the TC and stick them on this post to make the Bears that will be heading to get as much Conditions in place to make it the job it should be in this Multi million oil ans gas project.all the best for now lads and good luck .
 
whats the differance between a charghand and advanced then i thought that advance was the same or is it a made up ******* rate
 
Heard that whoever won the contract would had known last Friday it was between BIS, cape and Interserve. I'm on for bis and they use their own agency GlobeTec and we ain't heard owt yet.
 
who has said that its for the new plant,i didnt see any mention of it myself.
there is a lot of work regarding the quayside in lerwick i think for the decomissioning work in the next few years.
as already stated it will eat into your leave if you have to have overnight stays and can also be expensive a lot to think about--never mind the weather :eek:
