Basic Scaffolder required Heathrow

The system used is tube and fit scaffolding and the duties are the erecting and dismantling of temporary site structures. Items include hand rails, safety work, gantries, independent structures, bird cages and general access work on the construction of a new build Terminal at Heathrow. There will be internal works within the new terminal and external works on the building’s envelope, air bridges and jetties. The site is in the restricted zone of Heathrow Airport and would require security clearance in line with DfT guidelines. For more information go to ID Centre: Welcome to the BAA ID Centre website

This is a contract of employment and Hays operate as an Employment Business. There are NO dig or travel subsidies. There is allocated parking on airport perimeter and a subsidised canteen. There is a limited smoking policy on site due to the proximity of aviation fumes and a strict clocking in/out system for the recording of hours for access/egress from site.

To apply please contact me on Tel 020 8897 8851 or email CV to mike.mann@hays.com

Agreed. Sadly the rates are not that high (but at least the job spec is accurate & transparent)

Is it 13 pounds sterling, or 13 Algerian dinars?

I just supply Heathrow and Gatwick. For London jobs contact our Victoria branch 02072598700. Send me your cv & I can forward to the right person.

What's going on with those rates mike I worked on there for you a good few years ago and I was on more than the over time rate on a flat week.

The Paye rates quoted in the advert are less than the CIS/UTR rates that we have used in the past Wrigers. This is because we have to employ candidates on an employment contract rather than a contract for services (as a temporary worker). The latter method enables candidates to work CIS & use an umbrella company which usually allows us to pay a higher rate. We cannot use this latter method as on large sites Principle Contractors would insist on the workers being employees rather than agency workers. The advantages of Paye are not bad: paid holidays, £8300 per annum tax free threshold and no need to pay an umbrella company to process your wages...

Hayes have always been crap payers. £13 ph is a disgrace for london. I did some work for the victoria branch, took a month to get paid and then if your wages were wrong you used to have to call a national rate numbet at 15p a minute - wouldnt touch them with a barge pole.
