I'm sick to death of agency's. I no it's been a rant we've all said and think but I do wish we could stop it and be employed by the employer not having to go through 3 different people to get paid and every 1 getting a taste of my hard earned money it's like being robbed by the mafia rant over peace out.

What's gouing on in your world then? I've only been in the game a year but I've never had to approach an agency. From what I have found there is more than enough work to go around with out even thinking about them. **** them off. I worked for agencys before but not scaffolding. And everytime I got mugged off. Get on the phone and start speaking to companys. This has never failed with me and I have rarely been out of work. If you want the graft enough you will get it.

Ideal world, everyone would be direct. Short term, firms use agencies. Thats to negotiate employment and contract law. Great when it works for both parties, pail of pi@s when it doesn't. Done both Wrigger, you can claim back any fee (insurance, charge, payment fee) which comes with umbrella companies, when you put in a tax return. Not ideal but better in work than not.
Pugwash there's no need to call me a mug on my two weeks off when I'm not offshore I do a bit of agency work now and again I was just ranting on that how **** it is what a lot of lads have to go through just get work. I work direct for a company and have done for the last 2 years nearly 3.
