Tg20:13

Can I ask people opinions if you think that the TG20:13 goes into too much details in certain areas on analysis of formulas?

indeed it is good reading and clarified a lot of things but it still leaves a lot of things in the hands of designers with providing calculation's?

Does anyone still ref 5973 in their designs still and why ?

I think BSEN12811 give everyone much more flexibilty with all the different buildings and components on offer nowadays. When I was starting out I found BS5973 a great guide, but it was quite limited and more of a, 'if you have this problem, try this' standard, where BSEN12811 gives you the breathing room to be more flexible if you have to be. Which is especially important for scaffolders trying to stretch kit to new extrtemes.
