Default The Firm (Spot the deliberate mistake..!??!)

I watched the movie 'The Firm' last night which was fairly enjoyable and brought back some very naughty memories..!??!

However, me being the sad b@stard that I am noticed that the lead character and his Dad were working on some crap aluminium staging that had EN74 doubles on the hand rails.... the euro laws weren't around in 1984, were they now!

Apart from the Roman soldier wearing the wrist watch in Ben Hur and the crap rubber shark in Jaws II, has anyone else noticed any movie cock-ups before..!??!

I saw the firm last week and I was a bit dissapointed really. Have you seen the football factory as its much better!#

There are quite a few mistakes in the matrix films e.g. seeing cameras in reflections etc.

SF,

Yup, Football Factory is right up there with 'Gone with the wind' as far as I am concerned. Have you seen 'Away days' yet? Little bit homo-erotic for my liking (saying that, I watched Bruno 2 nights ago and almost threw my ring up, lol).
Green Street was a f@@king disgrace..!!!

PW,

You're right about the downtime mate, I have 2 barges off hire due to contractual disputes, one on the move in between platforms and the only one that is working has run out of gear. Hence, out comes the unseen movie collection. The old torrent sites have been taking a right bashing the last couple of days, lol..!!!

Rock on..!!!
Phil.

I noticed at telegraph pole in Braveheart.

I watched The French Connection 2 the other night, what a cool movie but the french have to be the worst bystanders in any movie the just keep staring at the cameras and actors just like the James bond Movie made in Las Vegas,

the French,huh.. what can I say,I'm still pissed off with them

Alright...although I called Phil a sad ba*tard for noticing european standards in a film based in 84 I'll have a go at joining the sad tw*t club lol!!

Quadrophenia

A cult classic but has numerous chronological gaffs

Film is set in 1960s...so why is he riding his scooter past numerous cars with 1970s registrations!!

Also on the morning Jimmy cant get up for work and his Mum comes into his room and opens the curtains and an Intercity 125 train blasts past in the background, again not in service till the 70s.

Attention to detail lads...thats what its all about

PW,

It's a bitch being an Inspector, you never really switch off, lol..!!!

Agree with Quadrophenia, was that the scene where Jimmy trashed his scooter? I am sure there was a couple of cars that were not around at that time. Thank ferk for that though, I thought I was the only sad tw@ who noticed, pmsl..!!!

Cheers,
Phil.

Some good ones but the little kid in the American civil war movie Glory is my one,the scene as they march off to war,but a nice big 1980s digital watch on his wavin hand.Pretty sure they werent around in the 1800's.

Also hate so called accurate war movies where lads cock their rifle every time they come on screen, must be a trail of live rounds followin em for miles.
