Cads is another thing I got from the Forum but I did also see them at a couple of NASC meetings. I can't sing it's praises high enough but if I'm honest I don't use it as often as I should as I am more often erecting than just in the office but it is a brilliant piece of kit that all the main contractors drool over when they see the paper work I now provide. Again, I could e-mail you some samples but to be honest the best way to proceed with CADS is get them to give you a free trial, I bet you don't look back. The price is still high for the full package but it is not long paying for itself with work won. Let me know how you go.

Hi Daryl, you are not the only one to notice the similarities. One of the best things about this forum is smaller firms can access loads of opinions on all sorts of subjects. The tie thing was if memory serves one of the first things I asked about on here and learned a lot as up to that point all I had really used was the rings and gravlocks. I am now using the Apollo nylon ties which are absolutely ace in all substrates but we do also use the Excalibur bolts but not as confident with them as the hard stone can really rip them to shreds and putting them in with an impact wrench just makes it worse. I may still have a fair bit on the e-mail at work if you want to pm your addy I will see what I can gather up about it. Scaffy was the man that kept me right about them and should you need detailed information on them I would say he was your man.

    hi Alistair,
i was just going over a few old threads and thought how similiar our veiws are and size of companies etc- wanted to ask you a couple of Qs without going through the open forum.
1- was reading your threds reguarding hiltis rings before xmas and wondered what are you using to tie into brickwork and
2- you mentioned cads is that the smartscaffolding package, if it is can i asked how much you paid for it,i was thinking of investing in it 2 yrs ago then things looked grim for a while and couldn't justify the 2k they wanted so put on the back burner they also offered no initial training to see if it was going to meet our purposes, how do you find it ,value for money?
    all the best
    SouthernPoofter-Daryl
