just to see which you think is best ....i have only just started using one with out the step which is a bit of a struggle to get up BUT as I'm short i can cheat a bit by using a butt and bringing her above the top h/r so as i can reach the next h/r ..
    2m lifts of course

I'm just getting used to using one

this is on a kier site ....the other lads are against for e.g. basing out the tall ones say i can reach without the step to which i keep fighting saying .....its about getting a method so we can all work not just the tall bloke out of the gang its about working as pairs in a team not just one bloke

as i have said before i look at your posts as the voice of reason and you do things how i would envisage embracing what we have to do not just fight all the time

as you are ahead in the step game thats why i asked
    and thanks for your reply

    hi Alistair,
i was just going over a few old threads and thought how similiar our veiws are and size of companies etc- wanted to ask you a couple of Qs without going through the open forum.
1- was reading your threds reguarding hiltis rings before xmas and wondered what are you using to tie into brickwork and
2- you mentioned cads is that the smartscaffolding package, if it is can i asked how much you paid for it,i was thinking of investing in it 2 yrs ago then things looked grim for a while and couldn't justify the 2k they wanted so put on the back burner they also offered no initial training to see if it was going to meet our purposes, how do you find it ,value for money?
    all the best

Yes, mate of mine asked me to put a scaff up,Put a price in,decided my insurance didnt cover,so pm'd Phil. Told him what the price was. He came back and said ok. Then client panicked about Phils insurance. Luckily Phil answered the phone and was good as gold aout it. Pee'd me off,as I felt I had let Phil down. Hes a good hour and a half from the job. Surrey to Harrow on the hill. Probably worked out,as it hammered down today. If ever your down this way Alistair, let me know. Would love to meet you and show you the sights.
